The Benefits of Search Engine Optimization and what it can do for your business.

January 5th, 2010

One of the latest trends when it comes to website development is search engine optimization. This is the process of optimizing of your website site to appear on the top positions of the major search engines. These include Google, Yahoo and Bing as well as many others that the whole world uses to find information relevant to the topic they are searching for when utilizing a search engine. So if you have a tire shop in Smithville North Carolina, and you have a lot of competition, this would be advantageous. If someone needs a tire changed or repaired and they live in your area, you want to be on the web right at the top of the first page so that they call you for tire service. Nowadays, people search the web more than they look in the phonebook for businesses that they wish to use. So it makes sense that a business owner would want that opportunity to get those people’s business.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO for short) increases your web presence so that more people know about your business. Therefore, you the business owner get more customers. When most people use a search engine such as Google, they will usually pick the top 3 to 5 sites on the first page to find the information that they need. The higher you rank on the search engines, the more likely you will have business coming to you directly from the internet.
A lot of people ask how much it costs to do SEO for a website. Well, it depends. The tire shop in Smithville probably wouldn’t have to worry too much because his business is relatively small and he would not have the same amount of competition as a national office supply company. So it wouldn’t take as much time to put the tire shop on the top of the search page. On average, most companies pay between $1,200 and $1,700 a month for a basic SEO program. The reason for this is that good effective SEO program is an ongoing process. It isn’t something you can just implement and be done. Effective SEO requires continuous maintenance and attention.
Most companies hire people to do SEO. Aarson Inc. is one company that does this kind of work. We build websites and utilize SEO to attract business to our clients. If SEO is done right, it can be an extremely effective online marketing campaign.
The basic methods of SEO aren’t complicated, but they are tedious. Some of the methods that are used include simple things such as posting your own blogs. Posting on other blogs and forums is also effective. The key to this is to make sure that everything you do is relevant to your site in terms of subject matter. Social Networking sites such as Face book, and LinkedIn are also pretty effective ways of keeping up back links and fresh content, (both are important elements of SEO).
There are other things to do as well and there is a wealth of information out there. So don’t be afraid to look at some recourse to get a better grasp of what it is that companies like us do. My next article will talk about some of the things that the web developer does to make a site more SEO friendly.

Marketing: Standing Tall and Getting Noticed

December 9th, 2009

One element that can make or break success in any advertising campaign is market research.  Without this very important step, efforts are thrown into the wind and at the wind’s mercy.  In tough times, this could lead to the death of a business.  Business owners have to overcome many obstacles, including new ones that will result in even a tighter market.  Competition in hard times like this is like a double edge sword.  There are many ways to get your “brand” into the public eye.  Consistency is recommended in regards to advertising, but before considering advertising, research of the market you are targeting should be done to ensure the best results for your hard earned money.

If you are looking to advertise on cable or satellite television, a demographic study has been done by the networks to show who is watching what and on what channel.  Demographics can provide information such as age groups, to yearly salaries. This information can guide one towards their prospective target market.  Without this valuable information, the whole campaign becomes a gamble.  Knowing how to reach your target market is only one part of the process.  Now, what would make them choose your company instead of others?  This is where you need your best foot forward.  You will only have one chance at a good first impression, so you want to make it count.  Television commercials can add up a nice monthly bill and if not thought out properly can hurt more than help.

Internet Marketing is a bit different.  You may have some more time to get your act together.  Though it would be ideal if you hit every point at the time of your websites launch, some may decide to get something up and then mold the website into a cash machine.  Strong relevant content and activity on your website will actually help make it more visible on search engines, but to compete with the others out there seeking your potential customers, your company needs to make a strong impression.  Web-shoppers do their research well and they do it fast!  They look for as much information on the product they are looking for, so give them what they want!  If you bore your audience, they will go elsewhere to do business, but if you compel them to stay, they may see enough to give you a shot.

Another vital marketing tool is testimony.  This will take away doubt almost instantly.  Psychologically, people will feel more comfortable awarding their trust to someone who comes endorsed by others who have already had a positive experience doing business there.  This is where “word-of-mouth is the best advertising” comes from.  The more positive testimony you can show your target market, the more eyes will be focused on you.  By focusing your campaign to a specific target market and reaching out to them by making available the information they are looking for, getting noticed won’t be much of a problem.

AARSON: Your success is Our Business

December 9th, 2009

Thank you for your trust and confidence in us.  We here at AARSON Inc. want to welcome you to our team.  Yes, we are a team now.  The minute you signed, you became a part of our winning team.  Our goal is to show the World Wide Web that you are the best in your industry.  We don’t just want to send you a few hits a month …we want to build a business relationship with you that will last many years to come.  To do this, we will have to perform our best and we will do it consistently.

Your cooperation in the design phase of your website is the foundation for the success you will reap from it. Our fees seem a bit high to some, but well justified for the amount of work we put into the construction of your website.  We start by gathering as much information about your company and we need this information from you.  After all… who would know more about your business and the direction you want to go in than you?   Pictures and testimony are very helpful when it comes to compelling content (lots of testimony is better).  If you don’t already, ask all of your customers for a short testimonial for your website …you will be amazed how many you will collect in a short period of time.  People are willing to give you a good review if 1. They’re satisfied, and 2. You ask.  Most people will require you do 2.

Once we have a visual of your company, we then study your competition on the web.  We look for things that will set you apart from them.  We study their weakness and yours (from an outsider’s perspective).  We literally put ourselves in the shoes of your target market and devise a plan that will work for your business.  A custom designed marketing package instead of the “one-size-fits-all …thank you come again” mentality.

All of this happens before your website goes into our highly advanced development department.  Our web development team is on the cutting edge of today’s most current website technology and white hat SEO techniques to ensure you the best quality workmanship that your hard earned money can buy.  We are the best.  By WE, we mean you included.  You are the reason we are in business, and your success is our business!

From Radio to Local TV to The World

November 11th, 2009

Up until the mid nineteen fifties radio was the single greatest avenue for advertising and marketing to companies looking to expand.  In the mid fifties Television started replacing radio for advertising based on the fact that it reached a larger audience.  As a child of the fifties I saw TV advertisements change and adapt to the social needs, wants and desires of consumers. TV became a great medium with massive companies such as CBS, NBC and ABC to sell their products.  The world, today has a broader saturation for companies to succeed. We call that the World Wide Web. Today we can reach billions of people world wide via the internet to find consumers and to sell products.  We at Aarson Inc. realize the marketability and the opportunities for doing business on the web.  We start with the latest coding that the search engines look for to build relevancy in a web site.  Our marketing and design department then initiate a fact finding mission about our clients competition to ensure our clients success.  We custom tailor everyone of our sites from the design to the functionality to meet our clients needs.  From our research, design and coding departments you will achieve the success that your looking for from the web.  Contact Aarson Today for a no cost evaluation!!

Google Chrome

September 28th, 2009

So many people use different web browsers on their computer.  Microsoft’s Internet Explorer is a very commonly used one because it comes standard with every computer using windows.  Many techs will tell you Mozilla Fire Fox is the king of browsers.  I use Fire Fox for certain tasks, but my all time favorite browser is Google’s own Chrome.  Many argue the lack of plugin compatibility, but I choose to make that sacrifice for the the speed and reliability Chrome has to offer. Not only that but the browser is designed with the tech in mind including a built in JavaScript debugging console.

Although the browser is still said to be in beta, Google seems to have a way of keeping all of their developments perpetually in beta stage. I give this browser 2 thumbs way up and anybody who lets me on their computer will soon find a chrome icon on their desktop.

The importance of staying current

September 28th, 2009

I’m sure everybody out there has bought a state of the art computer and spent a large amount of money getting all the bells and whistles soon to find out a year and a half later it is no longer the top of the line model.  In fact four or five updated models have made their way in and out in that time.  The internet is the same way.  The World Wide Web Consortium or W3C is in control of regulating and monitoring the different languages of the internet.  In many cases they also develop these languages as well.  Because there is so much change in this industry, it is very important to stay on top of the current trends and watch for major changes before they hit.

It is ritual for me to every night go out into the online community of Web Developers and read through articles and forums to see what I can learn.  This industry is one where if you don’t continually retrain yourself on almost a weekly basis you will fall behind. Todays advancements will be tomorrows history and that is the way you have to look at it for success.

B 2 B, a Different Mentality

September 26th, 2009

I read a book several years ago written by Dale Carnegie.  It was “How to win Friends and Influence people”.  I opened up the book, looked at when it was published, and realized this sales book supposedly was written in 1934.  I attacked it with the zealousness of a liver sandwich, and I don’t eat liver.  As I started skimming through the beginning, meaningful words caught my eye.  I started reading and before I knew it, a passion for this philosophy of treating others engulfed me.  It is in these requirements to do business with honor and where a mans word is his word.  It is this philosophy when a person say what they do and do what they say, and in that, success is accomplishable.  What we need to strive for in business to business is to make it beneficial and prosperous for both companies, and with that Aarson Inc. asks you to visit Aarson.com and see if we may assist one another in the business world.

Thank you for reading and the best of the best for you.
